The SEL TERRA underground triboelectric protection system is designed for anti-terrorism and high-security applications, providing early detection of unauthorized intrusion into protected areas. It is suitable for critical infrastructure, military and government facilities, energy facilities, transport infrastructure, industrial sites and other high-security locations.
HOW IS THE SYSTEM USED?
SEL TERRA is used to detect unauthorized intrusion in high-security and restricted areas. The underground sensitive element detects ground vibrations caused by an intruder and sends a signal to the processor, which activates an alarm.
HOW DOES IT WORKS?
The basis for the protection system operation is generation of electrical signals in the sensitive element which is caused by its deformation due to the mechanical impact of an offender on the ground above the sensitive element.
The processor activates an alarm if the number of received electric discharges exceeds the norm. The protection system is intended for continuous twenty-four-hour operation. The security system does not generate false alarms under the exposure to outdoor environment.
The system supports up to four independent protection zones, with up to 500 metres of sensitive element in each zone. The sensitive element can be installed in different types of ground, including sand, clay and stone, at a depth of 2–15 cm. SEL TERRA also continuously monitors the integrity of the sensitive and non-sensitive elements.
SEL TERRA is designed for continuous 24-hour operation and provides reliable performance in outdoor conditions, with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +50°C. System parameters can be configured using a wired RS-485/USB connection or wirelessly using an iOS/Android device.
